Blocks

Blocks. What do blocks do for children? Why are they found in schools and early learning environments everywhere? Blocks have a natural versatility that allow children to be creative and open ended in their play. Here we see ‘A’ using a block as a seat; ‘M’ using a block to “build a tower” and ‘J’ using a block in his gross motor experimentation. Our toddler classroom provides children with many different types of blocks such as wooden hollow, small foam, small wood and ones made of natural maple limbs.
